Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.25% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 3.48% or 430.00 points to trade at 12,795.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 3.46% or 420.00 points to end at 12,570.00 and Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was up 3.18% or 8.10 points to 263.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG), which fell 1.50% or 2.25 points to trade at 148.00 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 1.16% or 2.28 points to end at 193.90 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was down 0.74% or 3.80 points to 507.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 89 to 60 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.58% or 0.48 to $82.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.64% or 0.56 to hit $86.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.46% or 29.55 to trade at $2,054.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.55% to 6.74, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 100.64.
