President Sadyr Japarov has signed the order on National Economic Project “One Village One Product”, president’s press service reported.
The One Village One Product Project has been developed in Japan with the purpose of development of the regions. It has made a significant contribution into improvement of well-being of population.
The concept of One Village One Product Project is study and production of unique, quality product in every particular region.
The Project builds upon the following principles: confidence in own resources and creativity; human resource development; think locally, act globally.
The Project foresees production of quality products from local resources, development of manufacturers’ skills in terms of business management, marketing and sales opportunities, promotion of products in local and international markets, building local brands and adding value to products.
The One Village One Product Project has been implemented in Issyk-Kul region for several years and demonstrated positive results in form of creation of work places and gaining profit from export of produced exports to Japan, China, United States, Kazakhstan.
Achievement of further results requires consolidation of efforts of government agencies, funds, academia, associations, business. Further scale up of the project and promotion of products from the moment of emergence of its concept to purchase by end consumer will lead to multiplicative growth of economy of the Kyrgyz Republic. Each village, city, district, region of the Kyrgyz Republic will have their own narrow specialization oriented for export.
With the purpose of scale up of the One Village One Product Project with the emphasis on sustainable development of local communities, creation of work places, production of profitable goods and export to international markets, the given project will be launched as the National Economic Project in development of the regions.
The Cabinet of Ministers will create Made in Kyrgyzstan national brand.
